The West Africa Examination Council has announced the preliminary results of applicants who took the 2023 Ghana Only Version of the WASSCE for school candidates (WAEC).

In a news release dated December 18, 2023, WAEC stated that it will provide school leaders with login credentials so they may view the results of their applicants.

According to WAEC’s performance data, these are the greatest outcomes during the last four years, from 2020 to 2023.

Candidates who choose to do so can view their results on the Council website as the results have been made available online.

4,878 applicants’ results have been blocked because they did not return learning assistance materials that were provided to them by their schools; WAEC advised these candidates to get in touch with their respective institutions.
“Candidates should be aware that WAEC’s results verification mechanism can be used to authenticate and safeguard their results. You can download the WAEC QR code and use it to confirm the findings.

In an explanation, WAEC stated that 3,647 applicants’ subject results had been canceled because they had brought printed materials, text books, and prepared notes into the testing rooms.

Furthermore, 839 applicants’ full scores have been nullified due to their possession of cell phones during the exam.

For a variety of alleged offenses, the full results of 1,005 candidates and the subject results of 4,280 candidates have been withheld.
A total of 448,674 applicants from 975 schools took the exam, including 212,453 men and 236,221 women.

This number is 5.8% greater than the 422,883 entry figure for 2022.
