All NABCO Trainees Directed To Vacate Post; Ministry Issues Statement -Check Details

The Ministry of Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs has given a direct order to all registrars to instruct all Nation Builders Corps (NABCO) trainees to resign their jobs with immediate effect.

The instruction, which was issued in a letter signed by the Ministry’s Director of Human Resource Management, Dedaa Wiredu Agyei, and copied to the sector minister, said that the program will conclude in October 2021.

“Please be advised that the Nation Builders Corps (NABCO) program came to an end at the end of October 2021. Unfortunately, the latest information available to the Hon. Minister shows that some Trainees are still on the job.

“You are kindly requested to relieve all the trainees of their current duties and allow them to exit the Service,” the statement said in part.

The statement was addressed to “All Registrars” and had a handwritten note on it that also read:

“Write to inform the NABCO trainees accordingly.”

It will be noted that in November 2021, it was stated that Trainees in the Nation Builders’ Corps are required to remain on post until the formalities for providing them with permanent employment have been completed.

A high-level stakeholder meeting headed by Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and Chief of Staff Akosua Frema Osei-Opare resulted in the decision.

The trainees were to continue on the job until permanent arrangements could be made, according to the instruction.
