APPLY FAST: 2022/2023 GES Promotion of Higher Ranks
The Ghana Education Service (GES) has established processes for competent employees who seek to apply for the senior ranks advancement in 2022/2023.
Every year, the GES offers a promotion site for teaching and non-teaching personnel to apply to be promoted as part of its motivational efforts. However, the service has standards and qualifications that must be met before applying for the indicated promotion.
In this post, we will discuss the prerequisites and credentials that candidates for the 2022/2023 GES promotion tests or aptitude test must have before applying, the year group that is qualified to apply for the 2022 GES promotion exams or aptitude test, and the qualifying officers considered.
Qualified Officers to Be Considered for GES Promotion 2022
- Deputy Director
- Assistant Director I
- Assistant Director II
- Principal Superintendent
Qualification for 2022/2023 GES Promotion Exams
- Deputy Director: An applicant must have been promoted to Assistant Director I on or before 2017 and have held the position consistently since then (except for the periods of approved leave of absence).
- Assistant Director I: An applicant must have been elevated to Assistant Director Il on or before 2017 and have held the position consistently since then (except for the periods of approved leave of absence).
- Assistant Director Il: An applicant should have been promoted to the grade of Principal Superintendent on or before 2017 and should have been continuously at post since date (except for the periods of approved leave of absence).
- Principal Superintendent: An applicant should have been promoted to the grade of Senior Superintendent I on or before 2017 and should have been continuously at post since date (except for the periods of approved leave of absence).
- Officers/Teachers with Master’s Degree and PHD
For the avoidance of doubt, applicants who desire to participate in the promotion exercise on the basis of their Master’s or Doctorate degrees should take note of the following.
a) Master’s /PHD programme should be on the approved GES course of study.
b) The Master’s/PHD certificate should not have been obtained before the previous promotion.
c) Applicants should have obtained their certificate on or before 2019 but not before your last promotion.
How to Apply for the 2022/2023 GES Promotion Exams
Applicants Must;
- Fill the online application form >>>> https://gespromotions.gov.gh/
- Upload a passport size photograph
- Upload only the last promotion letter/upgrading/appointment letter
- Upload only a masters/doctorate degree certificate when using it.
- All documents uploaded must e in a PDF Format with the exception of passport photograph
- The completed application must be uploaded on the GES promotion portal before the given deadline.
