BREAKING NEWS: Asante Kotoko SACK Seydou Zerbo As Head Coach, shocking reason drops

Asante Kotoko SC, the reigning Ghana Premier League winners, have sacked first team coach Seydou Zerbo with immediate effect.

Abdul Gazele, the youth team trainer, will take over as acting coach of Asante Kotoko SC.

Seydou Zerbo, who signed a one-year deal with the Porcupine Warriors before to the commencement of the 2022-23 BetPawa Premier League, had his contract canceled after a few months. Dr. Prosper Nerteh Ogum, who won the league title before leaving, was replaced by the Burkinabe trainer.

Zerbo’s dismissal has been in the headlines for some time, but the club later clarified that he would not be departing until the conclusion of the season, only to be sacked following the Premier League Week 23 game.

He was fired for a variety of reasons, including his style of play, player selection, and performance, since he failed to score more than 11 points this season.

The straw that broke the camel’s back, however, was their 2-0 home defeat to Medeama SC on Sunday. Management had an emergency meeting and decided to terminate him.
