FIFA has rejected the Cape Coast Sports Stadium as a venue for the opening leg of Ghana and Nigeria’s World Cup qualifying play-offs.
This is due to the poor condition of the Sports Stadium, which holds 15,000 people, following the 65th Independence Day Parade.
FIFA has already reserved accommodations for its match assessors and monitors in Kumasi, according to Sadick Adams, who is also known as Sports Obama.
Ghana will host the Super Eagles on Friday, March 25, 2022, before traveling to Abuja for the second leg four days later.
