BREAKING: Queen Elizabeth II Confirms Dead; Details Drop

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the United Kingdom’s longest-serving queen, has died. The Queen passed away at the age of 96.

The queen died Thursday afternoon at Balmoral Castle in Scotland.

Her death comes after the BBC had reported that the Queen’s physicians revealed worries about her health about midday on Thursday, September 8, 2022.

The Queen, named Elizabeth Alexandra Mary, was born on April 21, 1926, and instantly ascended the British monarchy when her father, King George VI, died on February 6, 1952.

As a result, she ruled for 70 years before her death.

Her reign as Queen of the United Kingdom earned her the respect and affection of her subjects, inhabitants of former British colonies, and people all over the world.

Elizabeth II reigned over Ghana as a former British colony from 1957 to 1960, when the country gained independence.

Queen Elizabeth II visited Ghana from November 9 to 20, 1961, and again from November 7 to 9, 1999.

The Queen famously danced with Ghana’s President, Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah, during a goodbye party in Accra during her 1961 visit.

Many experts feel the dance was a watershed point in Commonwealth history. Despite explosions in the capital and concerns that Ghana was becoming too close to the Soviet Union, the Queen persisted on this visit to ensure that Ghana remained a member of the Commonwealth.
