CONFIRMED: GES announces 2022 first-term vacation and resumption date for basic schools
The administration of the Ghana Education Service (GES) as schools gets ready to end the primary quarter of the 2022 scholastic year has reported April 7, 2022, as the initial term excursion date for public fundamental schools the nation over.
The initial term of the 2022 scholastic year which started on January 18, 2022, the administration of the Education Service in a delivery replicated to EducationWeb said will end April 7 for understudies to break for scholarly exercises.

As per the GES explanation, dated March 22, 2022, the second term of the 2022 scholarly year will start on May 10, 2022, to August 11, 2022, and the third term from September 13, 2022, to December 15, 2022.
The Ghana Education Service (GES) in an idea of 7:00 am to 2:00 pm, 7:30 am to 2:30 pm and 8:00 am to 3:00 pm extra contact hours for essential schools said they are reliant upon the specific conditions of the local area.
“By this letter, Regional Directors of Education are to communicate to all Metropolitan, Municipal and District Directors of Education to ensure that Heads of Basic Schools take note and implement accordingly,” GES noted on Tuesday.
