This Right to Information (RTI) Manual is in accordance with the terms of the newly approved Act (Act 989) by Parliament, which President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo gave his assent to.
The Act gives legal force to the right to information guaranteed by Article 21 (1) (f) of the Constitution by allowing citizens access to official information kept by governmental organizations and defining the requirements and restrictions for obtaining that access.
