A farmer in the Central Region’s Assin Akomfode is in serious condition after accidentally slicing off his scrotum while sleeping.
According to the farmer, Kofi Atta, he dreamed about chopping meat while sleeping.
Unbeknownst to him, he was in fact severing a portion of his male genital.
Kofi Atta told Adom News’ Alfred Amoh that he awoke from a night of deep sleep to find himself in a pool of blood.
Adwoa Konadu, the victim’s wife, stated that this is not the first time her husband has done anything while asleep.
Kofi Atta, she claims, frequently wanders, chats, and fights while sleeping.
The sufferer is now being treated at St Francis Xavier Hospital in Assin Fosu and has been sent to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH)
According to Adom News, the victim’s relatives are unable to pay the National Ambulance Service’s GH600 gasoline price and hence have yet to seek additional medical attention.
