Ekekevor! Delay just fell in love with Chief One’s new jam, ‘Turn By Turn’
Deloris Frimpong Manso, a well-known Ghanaian entertainment writer and entrepreneur known in showbiz circles as Delay, has openly stated his support for Chief One.
Delay’s favorite song is Chief One’s ‘Turn By Turn,’ which was published a few days ago and is now dominating on social media.
She expressed her admiration for the song in an Instagram remark she made after seeing a video preview of it on Chief One’s page.
Chief One, real name Michael Ivan Nyagamagu, is a Ghanaian musician who rose to fame when a viral freestyle of his hit song “Novayi” went viral in January.
Since then, Chief One has taken use of the occasion to release his first EP, ‘Here I Come,’ which features six songs, all of which are chart-topping hits. On February 21, 2022, the ‘Here I Come’ EP was published. It has surpassed 1 million streams across all music platforms, and he enlisted the help of Omo Marani and DD Don for the project.
Chief One’s powerful and deep lyrics are mostly written in his native dialect, Ewe, earning him five prestigious nominations in various award schemes, including the 3 Music Awards, Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, Ghana Music Awards USA, Ghana Entertainment Awards USA, and the most recent Ghana Music Awards France.
He won his nominated category under 3 Music Awards as the ‘Next Rated Act’ out of the five nominations he received this year. Infinix Ghana, a large mobile phone company, also gave him some freebies. Prior to this, he won ‘Hiplife Artiste Of The Year’ at the 2018 Volta Music Awards, out of a total of four nominations.
‘Du Agbe’, his 5th officially released video from his EP, is another monster jam shuffling various playlists across streaming platforms. ‘Novayi’, ‘Mekamo’, ‘Young Boy’ and ‘Nyemedzio’ also shot him up.
