#FixGES: Teacher Kwadwo donates dual desks worth GH¢10,000 to basic school

Teacher Kwadwo, a benevolent teacher, comedian, and content creator, has donated 51 new dual desks worth GH10,000 to Kokooso Aboabo M/A Basic school in the Suhum municipality of the Eastern Region, in fulfillment of his desire to develop the human resource base of pupils through education and fully aware of the acute shortage of desks and furniture in almost all basic schools in the country.

His unwavering commitment to give desks and other amenities to students is part of his unwavering dedication to establish a suitable and enabling atmosphere for teaching and learning at the primary level.

The aforesaid development was in keeping with his goal of forcefully resolving the decades-long deplorable issue of students having to write examinations on their stomachs while others have to carry stools from their various homes to school.

Teacher Kwadwo has committed to ensure that the GES corrects the system’s flaws.

The well-known instructor chastised GES in a series of social media posts in the hopes that it would keep them on their toes, resulting in beneficial adjustments.

The GES, on the other hand, was enraged by Teacher Kwadwo’s activities, which resulted in his firing and summons by the Akrofuom District Education Disciplinary Committee on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, for claimed “professional misconducts.”

Teacher Kwadwo had been bemoaning the bad working conditions of teachers, as well as the intimidation that GES had been inflicting on them.

He was also concerned that the GES had presented a new curriculum, but that for the previous two years, schools and instructors across the country had been unable to apply it due to a lack of textbooks.

Teacher Kwadwo created the hashtag #FIXGES in response to GES’s mistreatment of teachers.

Teacher Kwadwo is noted for his generosity, since he has renovated schools and provided uniforms and laptops for children using his own money and other sources of income.
