GES announces final dates for schools reopening for KG, Primary, JHS, SHS 3 and SHS 2- Checkout here

For the 2022 academic year, the Ghana Education Service has published a new set of dates for the reopening of public basic schools and second cycle institutions across the nation.

Pupils in SHS 3 and SHS 2 are scheduled to return to school on Monday, February 7, 2022, according to a press release released by GES on January 12, 2022, while the academic year for SHS 1 students is slated to begin on Monday, April 4, 2022. (tentative).

The basic schools, which include JHS 1-3, Primary 1-6, and KG 1-2, are scheduled to reopen on Tuesday, January 18, 2022.

This follows the Minister of Education’s ratification of the Ministerial Committee on School Calendar’s suggestion.

“The entire schedule for the 2022 Academic Year for pre-tertiary public schools will be made accessible via different media platforms, MoE/GES websites, and other social media handles,” according to the announcement.
