Human eyes, tongue were put in rubber bag – Wa Central MP shares harrowing experience
Dr. Abdul-Rashid Pelpuo, Member of Parliament (MP) for Wa Central, has denounced the recent serial killings in Wa, the Upper West Regional headquarters, and expressed trust in the police to apprehend the culprits.
He claimed that the most recent victim discovered in the municipality had its eyes and tongue removed and placed in a rubber bag.
According to the National Democratic Congress MP, images of the body parts were transmitted to him by phone.
He stated that Wa is famed for its tranquility, with few street clashes.
However, he emphasized that recent events have rocked the town’s basis.
Last Friday, outraged local teenagers marched down several of the town’s main streets to protest the mysterious kidnappings and deaths.
On September 18, the body of an allegedly abducted security guard was recovered in a shallow grave in the Napogbakole residential neighborhood, behind Blue Hill Hotel.
The corpse has subsequently been unearthed by Ghana Police Service authorities for additional investigation in accordance with protocols aimed at identifying the offenders.
The Wa Central MP believes the police will quickly restore order to the neighborhood.
Officers have already been dispatched to the town, and the Inspector-General of Police is on a working visit.
