‘I love Arsenal and I love my country’- Thomas Partey reacts to his critics

Thomas Partey, a Ghanaian midfielder, has expressed his displeasure after being ousted from two cup tournaments in less than 48 hours.

The Black Stars deputy captain was part of Ghana’s team that was knocked out of the Africa Cup of Nations group stage on Tuesday, following a surprise loss to newcomer Comoros Island.

He was then sent off two days later when Arsenal were defeated 2-0 to Liverpool in the Carabao Cup semi-final.

Thomas Partey turned to Instagram to voice his dissatisfaction with the happenings of the previous two days.

“I’m accountable for everything that transpired, and I’ll accept any criticism that comes my way. I should be smarter and not enter a challenge that has already been scheduled, but that is my mentality; I enjoy fighting for every ball “‘I wrote on my Instagram story,’ he said.

“I love this club and I love my country, and even if things don’t always go my way, I’ll keep working harder to put things right,” he continued.
