I’m not father Christmas, says Ofosu-Ampofo as he shuts down poultry farm [Listen]

Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has announced the closure of his chicken farm after nearly 25 years of operation.
Mr. Ofosu-Ampofo claims that he can no longer afford to buy feed since it has grown prohibitively expensive.
“I’ve been a poultry farmer for 25 years, and I’m winding down my business.” I’m afraid I won’t be able to buy feed. It has been extremely costly. When you buy the feed and bring it to the birds, and they lay eggs, the money you make isn’t enough to cover your expenses.
“I spoke with my farm manager and told him I am not a father Christmas because I always borrow money to fund the farm, and I know others are facing the same thing, so I am compelled to close the farm down because it is not worth entering into it again,” he said on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen Thursday.
Ghana is in a complete mess under President Nana Akufo-Addo, according to the NDC chairman, since he has failed to look beyond the box when it comes to the economy.
“Why are prices of products and services soaring in Ghana but not in our neighbouring countries?” “What’s going on?” He interrogated.
