JHS headmaster allegedly chops registration fees as he fails to register students for BECE

Some final-year JHS pupils in the Gomoa East area were left stranded during the BECE because their head teacher reportedly misused registration fee money.

The principal of the Gomoa Budu Atta D/A Junior High School was nowhere to be found when the BECE began on August 7, 2023.

According to Adom FM, some final-year students were spotted in tears after being unable to take the exam.

Among other things, the head teacher reportedly received GH 400 to enroll applicants for the BECE.

One parent said her daughter’s index was not showing at the centre “so she was not able to write.”

“This is something he is fond off. When we catch him we won’t beat him, but we will speak our mind to him. We will jostle him and let him know that what he has done is wrong,” one resident said.
