JUST IN: Good news drops as GES sends important message to all public teachers.
The Ghana Education Service’s management has opened the promotion portal for the Senior rank category.
According to GES, they are seeking applications from suitably qualified serving officers/teachers for consideration for promotion to the following grades:
Principal Superintendent, Deputy Director, Assistant Director I, and Assistant Director II
Who Is Eligible To Apply For The Various Positions?
For the position of Deputy Director, an applicant must have been promoted to the grade of Assistant Director on or before 2017 and must have been continuously employed since that date (except for the periods of approved leave of absence).
For Assistant Director 1, an applicant must have been promoted to Assistant Director II on or before 2017 and must have been continuously employed since that date (except for the periods of approved leave of absence).
For the position of Assistant Director II, an applicant must have been promoted to the grade of Principal Superintendent on or before 2017 and must have been continuously employed since that date (except for the periods of approved leave of absence).
For Principal Superintendent: An applicant should have been promoted to the grade of Senior Superintendent I on or before 2017 and should have been continuously at post since date (except for the periods of approved leave of absence).
Applicants who wish to use the Masters/PHD certificates for ADI, ADII and Deputy Director Promotion should have obtained their certificate on or before 2019.
MODE OF APPLICATION
According to GES, the following are ways to apply for any of the listed categories.
I. An applicant should complete the APPLICATION FORM online, and upload a passport size photograph as well.
II. An applicant should upload only last promotion Letter or upgrading letter or appointment letter.
III. An applicant should upload only Masters/Doctorate Degree certificate when using it for his/her promotion.
IV. All documents uploaded should be in a PDF format with the exception of the passport photograph
V. All documents uploaded should be clear and readable.
VI. The completed application form should be uploaded on the website NOT LATER THAN 30th September, 2022
GES warned that failure to comply to the above directives is equivalent to outright disqualification.
