The National Council of Private School Teachers NCOPST petitioned the Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, on December 8, 2021, and the Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, respectfully accepted the plea.
The National Council of Private School Teachers (NCOPST) petitioned the Ministry of Education to allow Diploma holders from universities such as UCC, UEW, UDS, VALLEY VIEW, and others to apply for recruitment into the Ghana Education Service for the 2022 batch.
Following the acceptance of the petition, the Minister of Education directed NCOPST to compile data on all Diploma Holders in Education / Private School Teachers with Diploma in Education Certificates for submission to the appropriate authorities.
According to Mr Ackon James, the data would cover anyone who have earned a Diploma in Education from an accredited institution between 2013 and 2021.
The data will be ready in few days, henceforth all persons who qualify must register now and be an official member of the council.
All Interested Persons Must Meet All These Requirements.
1. Completed any of the accredited institutions ( College/ University) and has no outstanding exams or referrals.
2. Must Hold Diploma in Education Certificate
3. Must completed the mandatory National Service (NSS Certificate)
4. Passed the National Teacher Licensure Exams
“The National Council of Private School Teachers urges all private school teachers who hold Diploma in Education to fill this form to be included in the database for Ministry of Education for consideration”
All Interested Persons Can fill the forms below

1. The Specific University one completed
2. NSS number
3. NTC Licensure Number
4. Program offered at the University
Many Diploma in Education holders from Universities has been complaining of not being absorbed into the teaching field. Since 2013 till date, they have not got the chance to be recruited. The above is a positive sign that they may be recruited along.
