Police arrest students, staff of Bolgatanga Technical Institute over leaked exams questions

After authorities detained a number of faculty members and students in connection with the allegedly leaked exam questions, there was utter anarchy at the Bolgatanga Technical Institute.

According to reports, on Monday, National Investigations Bureau personnel monitoring the school’s ongoing examinations detained two pupils who were allegedly using mobile phones.

After searching through the devices, the NIB officials discovered several questions they thought were from the exam they were composing.

It was claimed during questioning that a member of the school staff had set up a WhatsApp group where leaked test questions were exchanged.

The school administration had granted bail to the accused youngsters earlier in the evening.

On Tuesday, the officials returned to their office with the kids and a few accused staff members to continue their inquiries.

However, Bolgatanga Technical Institute students began to agitate and demand to visit their fellow classmates.

The automobiles of various management staff members were among the school property damaged by the kids.

To keep the pupils under control, more police were dispatched to the school.

According to reports, they used tear gas and warning bullets. Despite a high level of security, the school has been calm again.
