Savannah Regional NPP Chairman re-elected

Alhaji Iddrisu Sulemana, the current Savannah Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has been re-elected for another four-year term.

During the NPP’s Regional Executives elections conducted in Damongo in the Savannah region on Friday, he received 112 votes out of a total of 172 ballots, defeating his competitor, Azumah Abass, who received 60 votes.

Mohammed Issah, the incumbent Savannah Regional Director of Communications for the NPP, who ran for Regional Secretary, received 102 votes to defeat the existing Regional Secretary, Haruna Iddrisu, who received 68 votes.

Kwame Aboagye beat incumbent Regional Organiser Mohammed Tohir by four votes, garnering 88 votes to Tohir’s 84, and Hajia Safia Mohammed held the Women Organiser seat with 82 votes against Fatahia Mohammed’s 80.
