As a result, Ken Ashigbey brazenly proclaimed that everybody who has not yet registered their SIM cards will be prevented from making or receiving calls starting this week or next week. He said that anytime such persons make calls, they would be told that they must register their SIM cards before their calls can be made.
“I am confident that, as the Minister stated, we will see some actions in the coming days, such as prohibiting persons who have not registered their SIM cards from making calls for a period of time.” As a result, when such persons make calls, they will be informed to go and register their SIM Cards, so that as time passes, the penalties will grow more severe.”
