Super Clash: legend Stephen Oduro advises club not to rely on ‘JUJU” against Hearts of Oak [VIDEO]

Before the important game against arch-rivals Hearts of Oak in the Super Clash, Asante Kotoko icon Stephen Oduro has cautioned the players to avoid black magic, often known as “juju.”

On Sunday, the two Ghanaian titans meet at the Accra Sports Stadium in the opening Premier League match of the season.

Stephen Oduro has suggested that they ignore any superstitious advice that may be presented to the players ahead of the big game and concentrate on the game.

“If you try to play against Hearts of Oak using dark magic, you will lose,” Oduro told ghanasportspage.com.

“So I’ll beg the players [of Asante Kotoko] to fall down on their knees and pray for this match, or they should all convene in camp and have a devotion and fellowship [with God] every morning or before they go to night,” he said. He counseled them to “rely on God and beg for God’s grace.”

“When it comes to that time [when playing against Hearts of Oak], you’ll see certain club officials and Circles [the club’s supporters wing] leaders coming to offer the players this or that, and you’ll see players getting on the pitch looking quite heavy.”

You can see that you are not of yourself”, he added.
