UEW final-year students protest, accuse school of not updating GPA for 3 years

Level 400 students at the University of Education, Winneba, have protested what they believe is a deliberate attempt by school management not to update students’ cumulative records for the previous three years.

Among other claims, the students blame the school’s data protection staff for neglecting to update the records on their portals, leaving the students’ numerous portals vacant.

In three weeks, the school will have its graduation ceremony for final-year students.

Students claim they are unable to track their academic success since the school has failed to update the portal.

Students who are protesting are not letting vehicles on campus and have blocked the main entrance to the institution.

Those found photographing the protest have had their phones confiscated.
