The Accra Courts Complex became a spectacle Monday afternoon when a bodyguard for Attorney General Godfred Yeboah Dame allegedly assaulted a security officer at the entrance to the Accra High Court.
According to an eyewitness who spoke with Onuaonline, as the AG’s vehicle arrived at the gate, the security officer redirected it, claiming that the parking lot was full.
The bodyguard, who is supposedly a military officer clad in mufti, stepped out of the car and smacked the security guy.
The security guard struck back. According to the witnesses, Mr. Dame’s security fired the trigger after being slapped.
Godfred Dame’s bodyguard was shot by the daring security officer, demonstrating his readiness for the shooting.
The uproar grabbed the attention of onlookers, who began flocking to the site. Lawyers and judicial employees emerged from courtrooms and offices to see the chaos.
Other security officials jumped in and began exchanging words with the AG’s bodyguard. He argued that the automobile should be allowed to pass because it belonged to the Attorney General.
The military officer drew back his weapon after observing the security officer’s ferocity and the mob that had formed in such a short period of time.
