VIDEO: Mobile phone thief nearly lynched at Kasoa

In Kasoa Ota city in the Central Region, a 32-year-old mobile phone thief barely avoided lynching after hitting a woman in broad sight.

While on her way to work, Prince Adaka assaulted the victim with a jack knife and grabbed her phone.

The victim raised an alert, according to an eyewitness named Kojo Benjamin, who told Adom News’ Kofi Adjei that Prince was pursued.

When one of the houses he sought to seek sanctuary in had a dog, he came to a halt.

Residents swarmed the sufferer, slashing off several of his fingers and other bodily parts.

He would have been lynched if the Kasoa New Market police had not intervened in time.

He is now being held in police custody as part of an inquiry.
