A video has emerged of Black Stars Captain, Andre Dede Ayew allegedly engaged in black magic (juju) while on National Team duty.
The practice of juju has been a major concern in the African game for many decades, with the phenomenon said to be a major reason for Africa’s inability to take its place at the summit of world football, despite producing several talents.
In the Black Stars for instance, the practice of juju has been one of the major reasons for the country’s inability to convince some prominent footballers of Ghanaian origin who were born elsewhere to play for the Black Stars.
Former Black Stars coach Goran Stevanovic even ascribed the team’s bad performance to an over-reliance on juju at one time in his tenure.
Despite these fears about juju, there has been no proof to back up the assertions, until the release of a film that purports to show that Black Stars captain Dede Ayew is one of those involved in the superstitious activity.
Dede Ayew can be seen warming up on the pitch while blowing a powder material into the field in the footage.
