WATCH: Maame Dokono makes shocking revelation about Waakye’s death
On Tuesday, August 2, 2022, the Ghanaian film industry was saddened by the death of legendary actor Prince Yawson, also known as Waakye.
He is alleged to have died between 1:00 and 2:00 p.m. Tuesday afternoon after being transported to the 37 Military Hospital the night before.
Grace Omaboe, widely known as Maame Dokono, is the most recent celebrity to respond to the tragic news.
Waakye was rushed to Ridge Hospital, but owing to a lack of hospital beds, he was transferred to the 37 Military Hospital, according to her.
“Because there were no hospital beds at the 37 Military Hospital, he was treated on a stretcher.” He died before they could get back with the equipment to help him,” she sobbed.
Maame Dokono also reported that they all went to a colleague’s 70th birthday celebration a week ago, and he appeared to be in good condition.
She went on to say that he will be much missed, and that his departure will be felt by both the old and the young owing to his popularity in the country.
“We’ll miss him since he does so much for us.” “We have truly lost a fantastic individual,” she remarked.
