‘Who is Who’: Two police officers ‘fight’ over who has authority to conduct traffic checks
Two Ghana Police Service officers had to square off in order to determine who had the power to perform traffic checks.
When the two clashed on the side of the road, it was more about ego than law and order.
One of the officers tried to assert his authority as a superior, while the perceived lower-ranking officer refused to yield.
In a popular video, these two cops had to outdo each other by exchanging heated comments and expressing intense anger.
What exactly caused that?
The Foase District Police Commander noticed three FPU officers performing a traffic check on the Atwima Yabi-Dida stretch on July 20.
The cops were then advised not to engage in the practice by Supt. Albert Quansah.
The Police Commander’s command angered Cpl Boakye, who refused to comply. This generated a heated debate among the police.
